When donors consider potential recipients for their charitable funds they often wonder, "What percentage of my donation will be applied to charitable works?" This is a very important factor in determining the actual impact of charitable donations. According to this article by CharityWatch, an organization that donates 60% or more of their total funds raised, are operating as "Efficient" non-profit organizations. In our 2016 Fiscal Year (7/1/15 through 6/30/16), the PJT Memorial Foundation raised roughly $50,000 and donated more than $35,000 to local charities. This represents a ratio of 71%. While this ratio earns us a "Good" rating, we continue to strive to reduce and eliminate overhead expenses in hopes of giving out the highest percentage possible of every dollar raised.
